Some random videos

I have some random videos here that I just downloaded from my digital camera. The sound quality is pretty shit, I have to say, but thats why I bought a dictaphone that records in 'high quality' mode (and its much better than this, I must say). So in the future, when I post stuff that's audio related, I hope it will be a bit better!

So, the first video is from Gatwick airport. I was there at about four in the morning, bored out of my mind, nobody is around, aside from all of the people passed out on the floor, waiting for the check in counters to open. Naturally, I explore my location a bit. The moving walkways leading between terminal B and the loading station for the shuttle to terminal A... well, they were making so many noises! Clunking and creaking and just being beautiful! So I was trying to think of a way to record these almost tribal sounding beats coming from the mechanics of the airport, and I thought of my digital camera, which was the most viable option. And that led to this:



The second video is my mates Callum and Min performing (rather drunkenly) at a bonfire party in the woods of UEA in Norwich. Callum is on vocals here, and min on accordion. The sound quality is a bit crap, and the singing is a bit off key, but it is still a good. It is still uploading... as my iBook is rather... slow... but alas, I love it so!

So... while waiting for these to upload so I can embed them into this post, I had a conversation with my coursemate Isabel on Facebook, which was rather manic, but thats what I was expecting. A lot of rapid conversation. But its all good.

Also, just an FYI here, I'm a bit drunk/tipsy at the moment. I bought a bottle of Sailor Jerry spiced navy rum the other day, and I must say it is quite delicious! So I'm most of the way throuth that now (after sharing a little bit with John and Daniel). It may be 3am here, but thats no excuse to stop drinking!
